2、vision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope*1.1 This specification2covers aluminum-alloy sa
3、nd castings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2This specification is not intended for aluminum-alloy sand castings used in aerospace applications.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy sand castings used in general purpose applications. It may not address themechanical properties, integrity tes
4、ting, and verification required for highly loaded or safety critical applications.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance with ANSI H35.1/H35.1M. Unified Numbering System alloy designationsare in accordance with Practice E527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specification designati
5、on, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminum and aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification, seeAnnex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as
6、 standard. The values stated in eachsystem may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from thetwo systems may result in nonconformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if a

It is the responsibilityof the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatorylimitations prior to use.2.
