SCOPE 1.1 Scope,- This specification covers the requirements of woven rayon g

2、arment labels or clothing items (see 6.1 and 6.4). 1.2 Classification.- The rayon woven labels shall be of one type in the sizes specified below (see 6.2). Size A - 1-5/16 inches wide by 3 inches long. Size B - 3/4 inch wide by 2 inches long. Size C - 2-1/4 inches wide by 4 inches long. Size D - 2-1

3、/4 inches wide by 5 inches long. 2. 8、d sample,- The labels shall match the standard sample for shade, and shall be equal to or better than the standard sample with respect to all characteristics for which the standard sample is referenced (see 6.3). 3.2 Material,- 3.2.1 The labels shall be woven of filament rayon of the regenerated cel

The dyestuffs shall be chosen and applied so that the dyed and finished label shall show no more labile sulfur than shown by the standard sample wh

13、en tested as specified in 4.2.5. The color of the labels shall match the standard sample “he use 3.4.1 Matching.- under natural (north sky) daylight or artificial daylight having a color tempera- ture of 7500 Kelvin and shall be a good approximation to the standard sample under incandescent lampligh

14、t at 2800O Kelvin. 3.4.2 Colorfastness.- The labels shall show color fastness to wet drycleaning and perspiration equal to or better than the standard sample when tested as specified in 4.2.5. When no standard sample is available or when the standard sample is not referenced for colorfastness, the l

15、abels shall show “good“ color fastness to wet drycleaning and perspiration when tested as specified in 4.2.5. * 3.5 Size.- The size shall be as specified (see 1.2 and 6.2). A tolerance of minus 1/16 inch and plus 3/16 inch in length and width shall be permitted on the size specified. 3.6 Design and

17、 conform to the quality and grade of product established by this specification, and the occurrence of defects shall not exceed the applicable acceptable quality levels. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS J( 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase ord

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY (Applicable to direct Government Procurement only) b 5.1 Packaging.- Packaging shall be level A or C as specified (see 6.2). * 5.1.1 Level A.- Five hundred (5 10) identical labels shall be packaged in a snug-fitting paperboard box conforming to variety 1, style

38、III, type Gy dass i of PPP-B-566; or type I, variety 1, class A, style 3 or 4 of PPP-B-676. Thumb notch requirements shall be optional. with gummed paper tape conforming to type III, grade A of PPP-T-45. The box closure shall be secured * 5.1.2 Level C.- Labels shall be packaged to afford adequate p

39、rotection against deterioration and physical damage during shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity, when it meets these requirements. The supplier may use his standard practice 5.2 5.2.1 Level A.- Identical labels of one size only, packaged as specified Packing.- Packing shal

40、l be level A, B or C as specified (see 6.2). in 5.1, shall be packed in a snug-fitting fiberboard shipping container conform- ing to style RSC, grade V3c or V3s of PPP-B-636. Each container shall be closed, waterproofed and reinforced in accordance with the appendix of the container specification. e
