2、 This standard is intended for the guiance of the industry, including manufacturers, engineers, instailen, contractors, and users. 1.13 Review and Amendment. This standard is subject to review and amendment as technology advances. Section2. Scope 2.1 Scope. This standard applies to all factay-made e
3、quipment as defined in the following standards which also meet the requirements of 3.4 and are labeled as a unit ventilator. a. Room hail air-conditioners, ARI Standard 440. b. Packaged terminal air-conditionen, ARI Standard 3 10/380. c. Unitaq air-conditioners and heat pump units, ARI Standard 210/
4、240. d. Water-source heat pumps, AF Standard 320. e. Ground water-source heat pumps, ARI Standard 325. f, Ground soure ClOSed-lp heat pumps, ARI Standard 330. 2.2 Exclusions. This standard does not apply to equipment as defined in the following standards a. Room air-cmditionerS, AHAM Standard RAC-1
5、or ANSI Standard 2234.1. b. Centrai-station air-handling units, AlU Siandard 430. Section 3. Definitions 3.2 Published Rating. A statement of the assigned values of those performance characteristics, under stated rating conditions, by which a unit may be chosen to fit its appiicatin. These dues appl
6、y to all units of like nominai size and type (identification) produced by the same manufkturer. As used herein, the term “published rating“ includes the rating of ail performance Characteristics shown on the unit or published in specifications, advertising or other literature controlled by the manuh
7、cturer, at stated rating conditions. 33.1 Standard Rating. A rating based on tests performed at Standard Rating Conditions. 33.2 Application Rating. A factory-made assembly, equipped with outside aU ventilation and return air dampers capable of introducing ventilation air of at least 80%
10、of rated Standard Air Row, while also having the capabiiity to provide any combination of the following functions: humidity control, heating or cooling, and filtering of air. The source of humidity control, heating or cooling suppleanenmy to that fim ventilation air, may be remote or an integrai par
11、t of the unit itself. This equipment is designed for fiee delivery of air into a room, but may be applied with minimai ductwork having a static resistance not exceeding 0.50 in. H20 125 Pa. This equipment can be eithervertical floor standing orhorizontailymounted, in or adjacent to the space it serv
12、es. This equipment is provided with air Capacities of 3000 ch Cl416 m3/sl or less. 3.1 Dejnitions. Any equipment as denned in ARI Standard 310/380 with ventilation capabiities as defined in 3.4. 3.43 Water-Source Self-contained Unit
18、Ventilators. Any equipment as dened in ART Standards 320,325, or 330 with ventilation capabilities as defined in 3.4. 3.43 Fan-Coil Unit Ventilators. Any equipment as dened in ARi Standards 440 or 210/240 with ventilation capabiities as dened in 3.4. Section 4. Classifications 4.1 Methods of Classif
19、cation. Unit ventilators may be classified accorduig to the foliowing (see arrangements in Table 1): 4.1.1 By mounting arrangement a. Vertical, floor or wail mounted b. Splitsystem 4.15 By humidity control a. Dehumidication b. Humidification Section 5. Testing and Rating Requirements 5.1 Standard R
21、atings. 5.1.1 Standard Performance Ratings. All applicable cooling capacity, heating capacity, power input, efficiency, standard air flow, fluid flow, and pressure drop &gs shall be verified by tests conducted at the Standard Rating Conditions, in accurdance with the applicable standard(s) reference
22、d in 3.4.1,3.4.2, and 3.4.3. 5.13 Standard Ventilation Rate. The Standard Ventilation Rate, expressed in percent, &ail be determined in accordance with ANSVASHRAE Stanard 79 by conducting two separate tests at the conditions specified in Table 2. References may also be made to ANSVASHRAE Standard 79
23、 for a typical duct connection arrangement. 53 Electrical Conditions. Ail Standard Rating tests shail be performed at the nameplate rated voltage and frequency. For units with dual nameplate voltage ratings, standard rating tests sha be performed at both voltages, or at the lower ofthe two volrages,
24、 if oniy a single standard rating is to be published. 5.3 Equipment. Fdm, any air-mixers, &-inlets, grilles, deflecting vanes, and any other regularly-furnished equipment shall be in place during all following tests. 5.4 Testing Requirements. All ratings shall be verified by tests conducted in accor
