All other instructions may be provided in electronic read-only media format, such as suchas DVD, website (accessible via URL, QR code, or similar means)

If electronicmedia instructions are provided, the instructions and warning statements required by 64.5 64.6 andSA6.2 shall also be included within the electronic media instructions.64.4 The printed instruction material referenced in 64.3 shall contain detailed instructions o

5、f how to obtaina printed copy of the material contained in electronic format.64.5 The instructions shall specify the minimum installation clearances to be maintained for refrigeratorsthat are intended for installation with other than zero inch clearances, and have been tested with theenclosure space

6、d from the refrigerator in accordance with 35.5.64.6 Additional instructions are specified in paragraphs 5.2.1, 5.2.3, 6.8, 6.9, 9.1.7, 43.3, 61.2(d), 61.21,and 61.22.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:UL specifies that any markings, installation and operating instructions shall be provided with the appliance.I

7、n the past, these instructions have typically been provided in hard copy printed format along withadditional non-safety information that is not required by the Standard. For a variety of reasons,manufacturers are looking at other means to provide this important information. Instructions required byU

8、L 563 must be readily available to the user.This Certification Requirement Decision is intended to document the requirements for the use of electronicinstructions, identifying those instructions that must be provided as hard copy printed instructions, andthose required on printed instructions indica

9、ting how to obtain a copy of the material contained in theelectronic media via phone and /or company website.
