SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers floor mats that r

In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and
12、regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When Specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.4) in accordance with 4.3). 3.2 Material. The material shall be vulcanized rubber, plasticized polyvinyl chloride, re

Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the dimensions of the mat shall be 30 by 36 inches and the tolerance shall be plus or minus (+/-) 1/4 inch for width and length, 3.4.1 Thickness. minimum and 5/8 inch maxim
16、um. The top covering shall be 0.125 +/- 0.025 inch thick. The overall thickness of a mat shall be 1/2 inch 3.5. Weight. The maximum weight of the mat shall be 10 pounds per square yard. 3.6 Phvsical reauirements. The matting shall conform to the requirements specified in table I when tested (see 4.6

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Resoonsibilitv for insoection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or
20、 purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the con- tractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of th
21、e inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any ofthe inspec- tions set forth in the specifications where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1
22、 Responsibilitv for comDliance. All items shall meet all require- ments of sections 3 and 5. shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program (see 6.3). The absence of any inspection requirements in the speci- fication shall not relieve the contractor of the respon
23、sibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of the manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conform- ance to requirements, however, this does not autho
24、rize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept defective material.
