SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an internally reinforced silicone rubber hose resistant to collapsing under vacuum and ca

3、pable of continuous operations at 150 C. It is also capable of withstanding short-term excursions to 200 C. Resistance to prolonged exposure to oils and fuel cannot be assumed. 2. APPLICATION The material was released originally for use as a connecting hose between turbochargers and intake manifolds

4、 on Diesel engines, or as specified on the Engineering Drawing. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 HOSE CONSTRUCTION The hose shall

5、consist of a Silicone rubber inner tube and outer cover with one or more layers of knitted, woven or braided reinforcing fabric. Hoses produced by extrusion or by a wrapping process are acceptable. 3.5 MATERIAL TESTING Whenever possible, all test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts an

6、d buffed or slit to the required thickness where necessary. When not feasible, specimens cut from molded test slabs manufactured from the same material with an equivalent state of cure shall be used. The test slabs shall have the following dimensions: 150 x 150 mm, min x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm. 3.6 ORIGINAL
