The context of Functional Standardization is one part of the overall field of Information Technology (IT) standardization activities, covering base standars, profiles, and registra

29、tion mechanisms. A profile defines a combination of base standards that collectively perform a specific well-defined IT function. Profiles standardize the use of options and other variations in the base International Standards, and provide a basis for the development of uniform, internationally reco

30、gnized system tests. One of the most important roles for an ISP is to serve as the basis for the development (by organizations other than IS0 and IEC) of internationally recognized tests and test centres. ISPs are produced not simply to “legitimate“ a particular choice of base standards and options,

35、609 is applicable to end systems concerned with operating in the Open Systems Interconnection(OS1) environment. It specifies a combination of OS1 standards, which collectively provide the connection-mode Transport Service using the connection-mode Network Service. ISO/IEC ISP 10609 is applicable to

36、the provision of the connection-mode Transport Service in end systems attached to any type of subnetwork from which the standadized connection-mode Network Service can be made available. This part of IS011EC ISP 10609 specifies the definition of Profiles TDllll/TD1112. The TDllll/TD1112 are profiles
