NOTE Although this European Standard
5、 has been given the status of a national standard without alteration, the United Kingdom voted negatively at all stages during its drafting. Despite protests, the standard contains several clauses that cannot be verified as they are entirely subjective. A separate risk assessment may be needed in or
6、der for a mufacturer to establish whether or not a particular aspect of a design is “safe” or “presents no danger” in the context of the standard. Other clauses are superfluous and irrelevant. The tsanslation into English is poor in several places, despite advice to the contrary given by BSI to the
7、authors. This European Standard shall be given the status of
19、a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2000, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2000. According to the CENKENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the follo
