3、1 This specification covers unfilled, filled, and reinforced styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) materials suitable for injection moldingand extrusion.1.2 This specification classification system and subsequent line callout (specification) are intended to provide a means of callingout plastic materials used
4、 in the fabrication of end items or parts. It is not intended for the selection of materials, but only as ameans of calling out materials to be used in the manufacture of parts. Materials are to be selected by personnel withmaterials.Material selection can be made by those having expertise in the pl
5、astics field where the economics, the environment to beencountered, the plastic field only after careful consideration of the design and the performance required of the part, theenvironment to which it will be exposed, the fabrication process to be employed, the costs involved, and the inherent prop
6、ertiesof the materials, the part design, the part performance required, and the manufacturing process to be employed all enter into theselection.material other than those covered by this standard.1.3 The properties included in this specificationstandard are those required to identify the composition
