1、Designation: C 1224 03Standard Specification forReflective Insulation for Building Applications1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 1224; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision.
2、A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers the general requirements andphysical properties of reflective insulations for use in buildingapplications.
3、 These insulation materials consist of one or morelow emittance surfaces, such as metallic foil or metallicdeposits, unmounted or mounted on substrates. Reflectiveinsulations derive their thermal performance from surfaceswith an emittance of 0.1 or less, facing enclosed air spaces.1.2 The values sta
