2、l agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers stamped steel wrenches for light duty use. 2. CLASSIFICATION. Wrenches shall be in the following types and sizes, as specified (see 7.2): Type I - Double head, open end (see figure i). Size - 9/16-inch by 3/4-inch. Size - 3/8-inch b

3、y 9/16-inch. Size - 546-inch by 7/16-inch. Size - 1/4-inch by 7/16-inch. Type II - Alligator jaw and screwdriver (see figure 2). Size - 7/8-inch maximum. Type III - Wrench assembly (see figure 3). Beneficial comments, recommendations, additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. and any data which may

Type I and type II wrenches are for light duty use in the servicing, adjustment, and maintenance of the M-41 and Y

6、ukon stoves. The type III wrench assembly is for use on the MlL-R-14601- Range and Accessory Outfit, Field, Gasoline; MIL-B-40098 - Bumer Unit, Gasoline Field Range ht, M-2; and MIGS-40608 - Stove, Gasoline, 2-Bumer. 3.2 Standard commercial product. The open end wrenches, and wrench assembly shall,

7、as a minimum, be in accordance with the requirements of his commercial item description and shall be the manufacturers standard commercial product. Additional or better fatures which are not. specifically prohibited by this commercial item description but which are a part of the mandacturers standar

8、d commercial product, shali be included in the open end wrenches being Mshed. A standard commercial product is a product which has been sold or is being currently offered for saie on the commercial market through advertisements or manufacturer s catalogs, or brochures, and represents the latest prod

9、uction model. 3.3 Material. Mteal shall be in accordance with the mandadurers standard practice using heat treated stamped steel. 3.3.1 Finish. The wrenches and wrench assembly shall be thoroughly cleaned of all rust, grease, and dirt. Wrenches shall have a corrosion-resistant finish. 3.4 Desim and

10、construction. Construction of wrenches including gas tip cleaner (see figure 4) shall be in accordance with the requirements specified herein and as shown in figures 1 through 4. 3.5 Markine for identification. Wrenches and wrench assembly shall be marked with the manufacturers name or readily ident

11、ifiable trademark. 3.6 work mans hi. All burrs and sharp edges shall be removed; parts shall operate without any binding or stlhess. 4. REGULATORY REQUREMENTS. 4.1 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is enwuraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance wit

12、h paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Unless atherwise specified herein, all equipment, matenal, and articles incorporated in the work covered by this commercial item description are to be new and fabricated using materials produced from recovered materials to the maximum e

13、xtent possible without jeopardizing the intended use. The term “recavered materials” means materials which have been collected or recovered from solid waste and reprocessed to become a souce of raw maerials, as opposed to virgin raw materials. Unless othemise specified, none of the above shall be in

Products manufactured t

15、o metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufhctured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables contained in the latest version of ASTM SI-10 (EEWASW SI-lo), and ail other requirements of this comercial item description

16、including form, fit, and finction are met. If a product is manufactured to metnc dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch-pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting ofcer has the optio

17、n of accepting or rejecting the product. 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the dient characteristics of this commercial item description, confom to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be

18、the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 6. PACKAGING. The preseivation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 7. NOTES. 7.1 Source of documents. 7.1.1 Copies of specifications r
