17、der the name Canadian Standards Association, and provides certification and testing under the name CSA International. CSA International provides certification services for manufacturers who, under license from CSA, wish to use the appropriate registered CSA Marks on certain products of their manufac

18、ture to indicate conformity with CSA Standards. CSA Certification for a number of products is provided in the interest of maintaining agreed-upon standards of quality, performance, interchangeability and/or safety, as appropriate. Where applicable, certification may form the basis for acceptance by

29、ng vehicles; or (b) CSA B108 when used for filling gas storage or piping systems. 1.2 This Standard applies to independently operating gas compressor packages that are (a) intended to be used for natural gas only; (b) intended for installation only in non-hazardous locations; and (c) designed so as

30、not to create a hazard through leakage. 1.3 This Standard applies to gas compressor packages that are (a) certified as a system for the direct fuelling of vehicles. In this package the system includes components necessary to transfer fuel to a vehicle such as breakaway devices, delivery hoses, and f

31、uel transfer nozzles. Nozzles, hose assemblies, and breakaway devices are not interchangeable between the P30 system and other pressure systems; or (b) certified for use with a piping system or to fill gas storage but not connected to a vehicle. In such cases, the certification need not include comp

32、onents such as the breakaway device, delivery hose, or fuel transfer nozzle. 1.4 This Standard applies to multiple-hose gas compressor packages and multiple accessories (as covered under the Scope) that form a part of the system. 1.5 This Standard applies to compressor packages intended for use on a

33、 system voltage of 600 V or less, designed to be used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. 1.6 A compressor package is investigated under this Standard for reliable and safe operation at ambient temperatures of 40 C (40F) and the manufacturers declared maximum ambient temperature

40、ssociation Vehicle Refuelling Appliances February 2004 3 3 Definitions The following definitions apply in this Standard: Blowdown system an integral component system of the VRA designed to reduce the delivery side pressure (up to and including the fuelling probe and the space between the vehicle rec

41、eptacle and check valve) from operating level to 517 kPa (75 psig) or less at the end of every fuelling cycle. Note: This allows for safe and easy disconnection of the refuelling hose from the vehicle by the VRA user. The system may also depressurize the compressor to allow easier starting. The syst

42、em includes means to contain the expanded volume of high pressure gas necessary to achieve the pressure reduction. Declared maximum ambient temperature rating (DMATR) the allowable maximum ambient temperature during operation, as declared by the manufacturer. Hazard a condition in which there is a p

43、ossibility of having a flammable or explosive atmosphere. Non-hazardous condition a condition in which there is no possibility of having a flammable or explosive atmosphere. Pressure Delivery pressure (as applied to NGV refuelling systems) the settled pressure of the delivered gas. See Clause 4.7.2

Operating pressure (as applied to a pressure piping system or part of a pressure piping system) the highest pressure at which the system, or the specified part of a system, normally operates. Note
