T/TR 02-09 E Page 3 PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to state the classes of the environmental conditions and their severities to which telecommunication and related equipment may be exposed at specified locations i
4、n Europe. SCOPE This document applies to telecommunication and related equipment installed for stationary use at weather- protected locations during - normal operation; - exchange or installation construction; - repair and maintenance. 6、ublication 721-3-3 “Stationary use, including handling during use and service at weather-protected locations.” DEFINITIONS Stationary use The product is mounted firmly on the structure or on mounting devices or it is permanently placed at a certain site. It is not intended for portable use, but shor
7、t periods of handling during erection work, down time, maintenance and repair at the location are included. Weather-protected location A location at which the product is protected from weather. - Totally weather-prorecfed location (enclosed location). - Partly wearher-protected location (sheltered l
8、ocafion). Climate-controlling system A system that controls or influences climate, acting at least on one climatic parameter in one direction. Heating system A system that controls or influences climate, increasing tie air temperature only, and this can decrease the relative humidity. Cooling system
9、 A system that controls or influences climate, decreasing the air temperature only, and this can decrease the absolute humidity. Forced ventilation system A system that controls or influences climate, conducting outdoor air into the room or expelling air out of the room. Air-conditioning system A sy
10、stem that fully and automatically controls the climatic parameters, air temperature and humidity and humidity by heating, cooling, humidifying and dehumidifying. Relative humidity The ratio of the partial pressure of the water vapour in moist air at a given temperature t, to the partial pressure of
11、the water vapour in saturated air at the same temperature t. Absolute humidity The mass of water vapour in grammes which is associated with one cubic meter of dry air in an air-water vapour mixture. Direct weather influences are totally excluded. Direct weather influences are not completely excluded

Class 3.1 : Temperature controlled This class is a combination of the parameters shown in CEPT Recommendation T/TR 02-03 (I EC Pub- lication 72 1-3-3 classes 3K3/3
13、BI /3C2/3S2/3M 1). This class applies to a permanently temperature controlled enclosed location. Humidity is usually not controlled. The climatogram is shown as Figure 1 (T/TR 02-09). Heating, cooling, forced ventilation and, where necessary, humidification are used to maintain the required conditio
14、ns-specially where there is a significant difference between the room environment and the external ambient. The climate-controlling systems could be periodically switched on or off but extremely high or low temperatures are prevented. This class applies to locations: - where installed equipment may
15、be exposed to solar radiation and to heat radiation. They may also be exposed to movements of the surrounding air due to draughts in buildings, e.g. through open windows. They are not subjected to condensed water, precipitation, water from sources other than rain or icing; - without particular risks
16、 of biological attacks. This includes protective measures, e.g. special product design, or installations at locations of such construction that mould growth, attacks by animals, etc. are not probable; - with normal levels of contaminants experienced in urban areas with industrial activities scattere
17、d over the whole area, and/or with heavy trafic; - without special precautions to minimize the presence of sand or dust, but not situated in proximity to sources of sand or dust; - which are protected from significant vibration and shocks. The conditions of this class may be found in - normal living
18、 or working areas, e.g. living rooms, for general use (theatres, restaurants); - offices; - shops; - workshops for electronic assemblies and other electrotechnical products; - telecommunication centres; - storage rooms for valuable and sensitive products. - Q c Edition of September I, 1986 CEPT T/TR

22、 of the parameters shown in CEPT Recommendation T/TR 02-06 (see also I E C Publication 721-3-3 classes 3K5/3B2/3C2/3S2/3M3). This class applies to an enclosed location having neither temperature nor humidity control. The climato- gram is shown as Figure 2 (T/TR 02-09). Heating may be used to raise l
23、ow temperatures especially where there is a significant difference between the conditions of this class and the open-air climate. Building construction is designed to avoid extremely high temperatures. This class applies to locations : - where installed equipment may be exposed to solar radiation an
24、d heat radiation. They may also be exposed to movements of the surrounding air due to draughts in buildings, e.g. through open windows. They may be subjected to condensed water, to water from sources other than rain and to icing. They are not subjected to precipitation; - where mould growth or attac
