Terminology3.1 DefinitionsDefinitions for use with this standard are shown in Terminology D4538 or other applicable standards.3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.2.1 certification, project spec
16、ification, nthe written documentation of the qualification of personnel or material.a writtendocument designed to ensure execution of the coating work for a project in accordance with the licensees requirements. It isusually comprised of the general, legal, and technical specifications governing the
17、 work.3.1.2 coating applicator, nan organization or individual responsible for applying a protective or decorative coating system.3.1.3 coating manufacturer, nan organization responsible for manufacturing coating materials.3.1.4 coating system, na polymeric protective film consisting of one or more
18、coats, applied in a predetermined order byprescribed methods.3.1.5 coating work, nan all-inclusive term to define all operations required to accomplish a complete coating job. The termshall be construed to include materials, equipment, labor, preparation of surfaces, control of ambient conditions, a
19、pplication andrepair of coating systems, and inspection.3.1.6 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), nthe rules and regulations of the United States Federal Government. The code issubdivided into titles, with Title 10 (10 CFR) applying to energy.3.1.7 paintings/coatings/linings, nessentially synonymous
