1、Designation: B85/B85M 101B85/B85M 13Standard Specification forAluminum-Alloy Die Castings1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B85/B85M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A nu
2、mber in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1 NOTETable 1 was corrected editorially in August 2013.1. 3、This specification covers aluminum-alloy die castings of all compositions. Thirteen of the most commonly die cast alloycompositions are specified, designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is not intended for aluminum-alloy die castings used in aerospace applications.1.3 Alloy and temper
4、 designations are in accordance with ANSI H35.1/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numbering systemalloy designations are in accordance with Practice E527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specification designation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.1.5 For acceptance criter
5、ia for inclusion of new aluminum and aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification, seeAnnex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values statedin each system may not be exact equivalents; therefo
6、re, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining valuesfrom the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
