Scope1.1 This specification covers martensitic stainles

3、s steels forvarious structural, architectural, pressure vessel, and heat-resisting applications. The mechanical properties of thesesteels are customarily, but not necessarily, developed by asuitable heat treatment generally referred to as tempering.1.2 Steel products under this specification are ava

4、ilable intwo grades:Grade Yield Strength, min, ksi MPa40 275 40 27550 350 50 3501.3 The maximum thickness of plates is limited only by thecapacity of the composition to meet the specified mechanicalproperty requirements; however, current practice normallylimits the maximum thickness of plates furnis

5、hed under thisspecification to 1 in. 25 mm.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound or SI units are to beregarded separately as the standard. Within the text, SI units areshown in brackets. The values stated in each system are notexact equivalents; therefore, each system must be used inde-pendently of th

The tempering tempera-ture shall not exceed 1400F 760C. Prior to tempering, thesteel shall be in the as-

14、rolled, normalized or quenched condi-tion.6. Mechanical Properties6.1 The material shall conform to the mechanical propertiesspecified in Table 2.7. 16、TestS1.1 Charpy V-notch impact tests shall be conducted inaccordance with Specification A 673/A 673M.S1.2 The frequency of testing, the test temperature to beused, and the absorbed energy requirements shall be asspecified on the order.S2. Ultrasonic ExaminationS2.1 The material shall be ultrasonical
