Scope1.1 This standard establishes a test method to be used whentesting a synthetic turf fields impact attenuation property forasse
3、ssing its suitability for rugby.1.2 The surface being tested will be located indoors oroutdoors and typically includes the entire surface, both withinthe boundary lines of the playing area and outside of it. Wherenon-turf surfaces exist within these areas, they shall beexcluded from the scope of thi
4、s standard, unless they arecovered either permanently or temporarily with synthetic turf.1.3 It is acceptable to use this test method, whereappropriate, as a test method for laboratory based testing ofsynthetic turf surfaces.1.4 The definition of a minimum performance requirementfor this test method
5、 is outside of the scope of this standard.Where reference is made to a minimum requirement this isintended for demonstration and clarification purposes only.1.5 This test method establishes a method of reporting testresults.1.6 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard. 10、logy3.1 Except as noted, definitions in this standard are inaccordance with terms defined in Terminology F2650.3.2 Definitions:3.2.1 synthetic turf system, na synthetic surface intendedfor use in sport consisting of varying elements including butnot limited to a stitched or woven carpet, stabilizing
11、 infill,performance infill and a shock absorbing sub-material.3.2.2 critical fall height (CFH), na measure of the impactattenuation performance of a surface; defined as the highesttheoretical drop height from which a surface is estimated tomeet the impact attenuation performance criterion specified.
12、3.2.3 critical time value, nt2t1where t1and t2are theinitial and final times (in seconds) of the interval during whichHIC attains maximum value.3.2.4 drop height test, nthe combined drop test(s) per-formed at one specific drop height (see Fig. 1).3.2.5 drop test, nan individual drop of the E missile
13、 (asdefined in Test Method F355) at a test point, where the drop hasbeen performed and recorded in accordance with prescribedmethodology (see Fig. 1).3.2.6 head injury criterion (HIC), nweighted impulsecriterion calculated from a head impact acceleration-timeprofile and used to quantify head impact

HIC scores determinedusing rigid missiles and head forms tend to overestimate headi
