2、47-A 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cellulose (cellophane) pressure sensitive tape. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for identification purposes on ignition wire assemblies. 3. REQUIREMENTS: 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION

3、 MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.3 APPEARANCE The labels shall be free of streaks, blisters, wrinkles, ragged edges, and any other surface imperfections which will make them unsuitable for

4、 the intended usage. The design and color shall be as specified on the engineering drawing. 3.4 SETTING TIME FOR NORMAL HANDLING The label shall set sufficiently to permit normal handling immediately after application. 3.5 PHYSICAL PROPERTIES 3.5.1 Tensile Strength, min 4.4 N/mm width (ASTM D 1000)

6、 Copyright 2005, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 2 of 3 3.6.3 Gloss (FLTM BI 110-01) The gloss of production material shall not vary more than +/- 7 units with a 60 (1 rad) glossmeter. 3.7 PREPARATION OF LABELS ON TEST PANELS Except where otherwise noted, test shall be conducted on the convolute

7、substrate part listed below. Tape to be wrapped around the convolute to ensure a suitable surface to surface bond. 3.7.1 Substrate 3.7.1.1 Nylon (Type 6) Heat Stabilized (ESF-M4D101-A) 3.8 RESISTANCE PROPERTIES After each of the resistance properties exposure, the film or label must not show evidenc

8、e of delamination, loss of printing, loss of adhesion, or any other effect which would detract from its proper function or appearance. 3.8.1 Humidity Resistance No curling of edges or visible loss of adhesion, blistering, and no loss of readability or any other effect which would detract from its pr

9、oper function or appearance. Test Method: Place the test panel in the humidity cabinet for 48 h at 38 +/- 1 C and 95 - 100% relative humidity. 3.8.2 Water Resistance, min 48 h (FLTM BI 104-01) No curling of edges or visible loss of adhesion or permanent change in color or gloss. The permanency of an

10、y color or gloss change shall be evaluated 7 +/- 1 h after the test panel is removed from the water bath and allowed to recover at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. 3.8.3 Heat and Cold Resistance No curling of the edges or other visible loss of adhesion in the specified 5 cycles of testing

11、. 4 h at 70 +/- 1 C 4 h at 38 +/- 1 C and 95 - 100% relative humidity 16 h at -29 +/- 1 C 3.8.4 Salt Spray Resistance, min 48 h (FLTM BI 103-01) No blistering, loss of adhesion, or permanent change in color or gloss. The permanency of any color or gloss change shall be evaluated 7 +/- 1 h after the

12、test panel is removed from the salt spray chamber and allowed to recover at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. 13、LTM BN 108-02, CS-10 wheels, 500 g load) No visible substrate or loss of legibility is permitted in the abraded area. 3.8.6 Print Adhesion Place a ESB-M3G68-A cellophane or ESF-M3G40-A acetate fiber tape on the side of the film or label containing printing and remove with a quick snap. There shall b

14、e no effect on the printing. 3.8.7 Label Strength During installation the label must not break, tear, or deface. 3.9 FINISHED PARTS 3.9.1 Quality The quality required is that obtainable with the best commercial practice. 3.9.1.1 Cleanliness All substrates to be covered by the film shall be clean in

15、keeping with good commercial practice. Oil, grease, dust, and other foreign material which would affect the adhesion of the film shall be removed prior to material application. 3.9.1.2 Appearance Parts shall match initial samples approved by Quality Control for: Color and uniformity Smoothness (absence of blisters) Absence of scratches and tool marks
