2、d. This Commercial Item Description covers general surgical scissors of the Mayo design suitable for use as dissecting scissors in general surgery. Salient characteristics: General. The scissors shall be of the following types: TYPE I - Curved Size 1 - 5-1/2 inches overall length. Size 2 - 6-3/4 inc

3、hes overall length. Size 3 - 9 inches overall length. TYPE II - Straight Size 1 - 5-1/2 inches overall length. Size 2 - 6-3/4 inches overall length. Material. The scissors shall be fabricated from class 4, martensitic corrosion-resisting steel, in accordance with ASTM F899. Hardness. The scissors sh

4、all have a Rockwell hardness Scale (HRC) of C50 to C55 with the exception of the screw which shall have a Rockwell hardness (HRC) of C40 to C45. The hardness shall be tested in accordance with ASTM E18 or E92 whichever is applicable. Conversion of hardness values shall be in accordance with ASTM E14

6、be in accordance with Figures 1 and 2 for style, design and dimensions. Performance accordance with the applicable requirements of ASTM F1079. The scissors shall be capable of cutting a continuous length of at least 3/4 inch for Type I and II; Size 1, and 7/8 inch for Type I and II; Size 2, and 1-1/

7、8 inch for Type I, size 3. The performance of the scissors shall be in Finish. The scissors shall have a mirror finish, except inside blades shall be crocus. Passivation. Corrosion resistance. The scissors shall show no evidence of corrosion or plating of copper when tested for corrosion resistance

8、in accordance with ASTM F1089. The scissors shall be properly passivated. Identification markina and labelina. The scissors shall be legibly marked with the contractors name or registered trademark and the word gstainlessll. Foreign manufactured scissors shall bear the name of the country of origin.

9、 WorkmanshiD. The scissors shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability. Unit. Each (EA). One scissors, of the type specified, constitutes one unit. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. ResDonsibilitv for insDection. Unless otherwise specified in the contrac

Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon request, at any time, or from time

13、 to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection. Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory applian

14、ces or procedures) and testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. Samplins for examination. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerance specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard

20、 No. 376, and all other requirements of this document are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contractin

In addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of all other applicable Federal, State,
