1、A-A-54194 25 June 199Q COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION STOPPER, BOTTLE (Rubber, Solid) The eneral Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to Type A, rade I, Stopper Numbers O0 to 2 of Federal Specification ZZ-S-7Sla which is cancelled. This Commer

2、cial Item Description covers solid rubber bottle stoppers for use in a chemical or clinical laboratory. Salient Characteristicgi Shall be solid black rubber stoppers for use as closures on bottles used in laboratory procedures. Shall be of the following stopper number sizes with the indicated dimens

3、ions: O0 0 1 2 15 17 19 20 10 13 14 16 25 25 25 25 A tolerance of +/- 1 millimeter (mm) shall be permitted for the dimensional requirements applicable to the diameters (top and bottom) and lengths of the stoppers. Shall be fabricated from natural rubber or synthetic rubber, or from a mixture of natu

4、ral and synthetic rubber. Shall have each stopper supplied with the applicable stopper number size identified in the form of raised numbers on the top side. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the perfrmance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The overnment reserves the right to perform any of the inspecti

9、ons set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescri.bed requirements. - Records. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the overnmen

10、t upon the Governments request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the suppliesto which-such records relate. I - Insgection. - Inspection, as used herein, is defined as .both examination (such as visual or audit

11、ory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. - Inspections -_- and testing, Inspections and testing shall be conducted on the bottle stoppers in accordance with commer

Products manufactured to metric dimens

13、ions will be considered qn an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerances specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard 376, and all other requirements of this document are met. If a product is manufac

14、tured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. In addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/supplie
