SCOPE 1.1. Scope. This commercial item

2、description covers general utility and contractors wheelbarrows. 2. CLASSIFICATION 2.1 Classification. The wheelbarrows shall be of the following type, class and size as specified (see 7.2). Type I - General Utility Type II - Contractors Class A - Steel handles Class B - Wood handles Size 1 - Heaped

3、 capacity 4.0 cubic feet (17 gauge minimum) Size 2 - Heaped capacity 5.0 cubic feet (16 gauge minimum) Size 3 - Heaped capacity 6.0 cubic feet (16 gauge minimum) 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1 Tray. The gauge shall correspond to the size of the wheelbarrow as specified in 2.1. around the open perime

4、ter edge of the tray. The wheelbarrow trays shall be formed from sheet steel. All components and assemblies of the wheelbarrows including castings, forgings, molded parts, stampings, bearings, seals and machined surfaces shall be free from burrs and sharp edg

The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.2 Metric Products. 16、roducts manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within the tolerances specified and all other requirements of this document are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimension

17、s exceed the tolerances specified in inch-pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product Conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the prod

18、ucers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 6. PACKAGING 6.1 Packaging. The preservation, packing and marking shall be as speci
