This standard contains specifications giving technical detail to the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Gas Appliances Directive”, Directive 2009/142/EC (see

8、 also Annex ZA) and in Annex I of the “Pressure Equipment Directive”, Directive 97/23/EC (see also Annex ZB). Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance (“presum

9、ption of conformity”) with the requirements of Annex I of the “Gas Appliances Directive”, Directive 2009/142/EC and Annex I of the “Pressure Equipment Directive”, Directive 97/23/EC.
