It is identical with ISO4006:1991 “Measurement of fl
15、uid flow in closed conduits Vocabulary and symbols”, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and supersedes BS5875:1980, which is withdrawn. In 1993 the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) accepted ISO4006:1991as European Standard EN24006:1993. As a consequence
16、 of implementing the European Standard this British Standard is renumbered as BSEN24006and any reference to BS5875:1991should be read as a reference to BSEN24006. Both the English and French texts are given in this British Standard, as presented in the original ISO4006, to facilitate production. A r
17、elated British Standard to ISO 772:1988 is BS 3680 “Measurement of liquid flow in open channels. Part1:1983 Glossary of terms” 1) . A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Com
18、pliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations.
