13、al Committee CEN/TC 160 “Protection against falls from a height including working belts”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2009, an
14、d conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and/or CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. Th
15、is document supersedes EN 813:1997. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive 89/686/EEC. BS EN 813:2008EN 813:2008 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard specifies requirements, testing, marking and information to be supplied by the manufacturer for sit harnesses to be used in restraint, work positioning and rope access systems, where a low point of attachment is req
19、uired. Sit harnesses are not suitable to be used for fall arrest purposes. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
