19、ationssuchas: designation; classification; basicrequirementsapplicabletoalleyeprotectors; variousparticularandoptionalrequirements; allocationofrequirements,testingandapplication; marking; information for users. Thetransmittancerequirementsforvarioustypesoffilterocularsaregiveninseparatestandards(se

20、eclause2). ThisEuropeanStandardappliestoalltypesofpersonaleyeprotectorsusedagainstvarioushazards,as encounteredinindustry,laboratories,educationalestablishments,DIYactivities,etc.whicharelikelytodamagethe eyeorimpairvision,withtheexceptionofnuclearradiation,Xrays,laserbeamsandlowtemperatureinfrared(

21、IR) radiationemittedbylowtemperaturesources. Therequirementsofthisstandarddonotapplytoeyeprotectorsforwhichseparateandcompletestandardsexist, suchaslasereyeprotectors,sunglassesforgeneraluse,etc.unlesssuchstandardsmakespecificreferenceto thisstandard. Therequirementsofthisstandardapplytoocularsforwe

22、ldingandalliedprocessesbutdonotapplytoequipment foreyeandfaceprotectionforweldingandalliedprocesses,requirementsforwhicharecontainedinEN175. Eyeprotectorsfittedwithprescriptionlensesarenotexcludedfromthefieldofapplication.Therefractivepower tolerancesandotherspecialcharacteristicsdependentuponthepre
