15、ponsible are undated, even if referringto a specific clause. It is the committees intention not to amend thefundamentals (e.g. clause numbers, material type designation) in any of thesestandards and so the latest edition applies.This is a full revision of the standard, which has been revised due to

16、theconversion of CENELEC Harmonization Documents HD 21 and HD 22 toBS EN 50525 (all parts). The previous edition of BS 7211 included a number ofcable types that were harmonized and marked with CENELEC harmonized codedesignations. The following cables are now included in BS EN 50525 andwithdrawn from

17、 BS 7211, which now only contains national types: thermosetting insulated, non-sheathed, single core, (H07Z-U, H07Z-R andH07Z-K) 450/750 V; thermosetting insulated, non-sheathed, single core, (H05Z-U and H05Z-K)300/500 V.The content of BS 7211 has been aligned with that found in BS EN 50525, whereap

18、propriate.Annex A has been included to provide further clarification on whereinformation from BS 7211:1998 has been moved to in this edition of BS 7211and BS EN 50525-3-41. Annex B has been included to provide clarification onwhich cables have been transferred to BS EN 50525 (all parts).The importan

19、ce of the relationship between the traditional United KingdomCable Code (formerly known as the CMA coding) and its equivalent harmonizedCENELEC code designations is emphasized.
