AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARD Approval of an American National Standard requires review by ANSI that the requir
6、ements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval have been met by the standards developer. Consensus is established when, in the judgment of the ANSI Board of Standards Review, substantial agreement has been reached by directly and materially affected interests. Substantial agreeme

12、lly made of 24 AWG wires, soft or annealed per ASTM B3 or B33. It is acceptable to use individual strands finer than 24 AWG in telecommunications power cables identified as Class I in this standard. The multiple strands of small-diameter wire strands may consist of 24-to-34 AWG strands wound togethe
13、r as per ASTM B172. 3.1.5 DLO: Diesel Locomotive Cable Class I stranded, thermoset, soft-rubber, extra-high temperature (90 Degrees C), dual-layer, insulation. 3.1.6 kcmil: Thousands of circular mils. 3.1.7 LOI: Limiting Oxygen Index Percentage of oxygen in a stream of air in which a material will c

21、LC UV Ultra-violet V Volts ATIS-0600028.2016 4 4 Requirements 4.1 General This product shall comply with the requirements of this standard, and be Listed by a nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL) for National Electrical Code conductor insulation types of XHHW, halogenated RHW, and other t
22、ypes such as DLO, and for smoke and flame listings as defined later in the standard. Power cable defined by this standard shall be organized into the types listed in Table 4.2. 24、iameter over insulation shall be according to Tables 4.2 and 4.3. 9While 373.7, 535.5, and 777.7 are commonly available cable sizes for DLO type wires (and sometimes for XHHW), they are not recognized by UL-44.
