Scope1.1 This test method covers a technique for generating datato characterize the kinetics of the release of o
3、utgassingproducts from materials. This technique will determine boththe total mass flux evolved by a material when exposed to avacuum environment and the deposition of this flux on surfacesheld at various specified temperatures.1.2 This test method describes the test apparatus and relatedoperating p
4、rocedures for evaluating the total mass flux that isevolved from a material being subjected to temperatures thatare between 298 and 398 K. Pressures external to the sampleeffusion cell are less than7103Pa (5 105torr).Deposition rates are measured during material outgassing tests.A test procedure for
5、 collecting data and a test method forprocessing and presenting the collected data are included.1.3 This test method can be used to produce the datanecessary to support mathematical models used for the predic-tion of molecular contaminant generation, migration, anddeposition.1.4 All types of organic
6、, polymeric, and inorganic materialscan be tested. These include polymer potting compounds,foams, elastomers, films, tapes, insulations, shrink tubing,adhesives, coatings, fabrics, tie cords, and lubricants.1.5 There are two test methods in this standard. Test MethodA uses standardized specimen and
7、collector temperatures. TestMethod B allows the flexibility of user-specified specimen andcollector temperatures, material and test geometry, and user-specified QCMs.1.6 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard. The values given in parentheses are for informationonly.1.7 This

Terminology3.1 Definitions:3.1.1 AT cut crystal, na quartz crystal orientation thatminimizes the temperature coefficient (frequency change ver-sus temperature) over a wide range of temperature.3.1.2 azeotropic mixture, na solution of two or moreliquids, the composition of which does n
11、ot change upondistillation. Also known as azeotrope.3.1.3 collected volatile condensable material, CVCM,n(from Test Method E595). The quantity of outgassed matterfrom a test specimen that condenses on a collector maintainedat a specific constant temperature for a specified time andmeasured before an
12、d after the test outside the chamber.3.1.3.1 DiscussionCVCM is specific to Test Method E595and is calculated from the condensate mass determined fromthe difference in mass of the collector plate before and after thetest in a controlled laboratory environment. CVCM is ex-pressed as a percentage of th
