Scope*1.1 This specification2establishes the requirements forseamless, cop
3、per alloy pipe and tube in nominal pipe sizes,both regular and extra strong, and seamless tube in straightlengths for general engineering purposes. Pipe and tube areproduced in the copper alloy UNS Numbers: C61300, C61400,C63020, C65100, and C65500.NOTE 1Inquiry should be made of the manufacturer or
4、 supplierconcerning the availability of product in a specific alloy.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.3 The following

9、3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.2.1 specially cleanedsufficiently free of oxides as toexhibit the golden color associated with the alloy.4. Ordering Information4.1 Include the following information when placing ordersfor product under this specification, as applicable:4.1.1 ASTM
10、 Designation and year of issue (for exampleB 315 XX),4.1.2 Alloy (Section 6, Table 1),4.1.3 Temper (Section 7),4.1.4 Dimensions, Diameter, and Wall Thickness:4.1.4.1 Pipe size regular (Table 3),4.1.4.2 Pipe size, extra-strong (Table 3),4.1.4.3 Tube diameter (Table 9),4.1.4.4 Tube wall thickness (Tab
11、le 6, Table 7, or Table 8),4.1.4.5 Length (Table 10 or Table 11),4.1.5 Quantity or total length of each size,4.1.6 Whether the product is to be subsequently welded (seeTable 1 and Footnote B),4.1.7 Finish (11.2 and 11.3), and4.1.8 When copper alloy UNS No. C63020 is ordered underthis specification,
12、tube diameter, wall thickness, length, sizes,and tolerances shall be a part of the purchase order as agreedupon between the supplier and the purchaser.4.2 When product is to be subjected to welding or brazing,the purchase order or contract shall specify product to be“specially cleaned.”4.3 The follo

Materials and Manufacture5.1 Material:5.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be a cast billet, bar
17、,tube, or so forth of copper alloy UNS No. C61300, C61400,C63020, C65100, or C65500 and of such purity and soundnessas to be suitable for processing in to the products prescribedherein.5.1.2 In the event heat identification or traceability isrequired, the purchaser shall specify the details desired.
18、NOTE 2Because of the discontinuous nature of the processing ofcastings into wrought products, it is not always practical to identify aspecific casting analysis with a specific quantity of finished material.5.2 Manufacture:5.2.1 The product shall be produced by hot-working orcold-working operations,
19、or both. Unless otherwise specified,the product shall be finished by such cold working andannealing or heat treatment as necessary to meet the propertiesspecified.5.2.2 Copper alloy UNS No. C63020 tube shall be quenchhardened and tempered (TQ30) as follows:5.2.2.1 Heat to 1550 to 1650F (843 to 899C)
20、 for 2-hminimum and quench in water. Then, temper at 900 to 1000F(482 to 538C) for 2-h minimum and air cool to roomtemperature.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The material shall conform to the compositional require-ments as listed in Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS No.Designation specified in the orderi
21、ng information.6.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. Limits may be established and analysisrequired for unnamed elements by agreement between themanufacturer and the purchaser.6.2.1 When the copper concentration is specified as theremainder, the percentage of co
22、pper may be calculated as thedifference between the sum of all the elements determined and100 %.6.2.1.1 When all the elements listed for an alloy in Table 1are determined, the sum of the determined elements for thealloy shall be as shown in the following table:Copper Alloy UNS No. Copper Plus Named
