Scope*1.1 This specification2covers aluminum-alloy permane
3、ntmold castings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is not intended for aluminum-alloypermanent mold castings used in aerospace applications.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numberingsystem alloy designations are in
4、 accordance with PracticeE 527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specification desig-nation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.
5、1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformanc
6、e with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to
