It
4、 is published for the needs of the European Aerospace Industry. It has been technically approved by the experts of the concerned Domain following member comments. Subsequent to the publication of this Prestandard, the technical content shall not be changed to an extent that interchangeability is aff
5、ected, physically or functionally, without re-identification of the standard. After examination and review by users and formal agreement of ASD-STAN, the ASD-STAN prEN will be submitted as a draft European Standard (prEN) to CEN (European Committee for Standardization) for formal vote and transforma
6、tion to full European Standard (EN). The CEN national members have then to implement the EN at national level by giving the EN the status of a national standard and by withdrawing any national standards conflicting with the EN. ASD-STAN Technical Committee approves that: “This document is published
7、by ASD-STAN for the needs of the European Aerospace Industry. The use of this standard is entirely voluntary, and its applicability and suitability for any particular use, including any patent infringement arising therefrom, is the sole responsibility of the user.” ASD-STAN reviews each standard and

12、45-411:2017 (E) 3 1 Scope This standard specifies two methods of determining the fluid resistance of a fibre optic interconnection device. It shall be used together with EN 3745-100 and EN 3909. 2 Normative references The following documents, in whole or in part, are normatively referenced in this d

16、eaning 4.1 Initial cleaning Unless otherwise specified in the product standard, the test sample shall be thoroughly cleaned to remove unrepresentative coatings i.e. preservatives, grease or contaminants. When a separate sample is specified for each fluid, only initial cleaning applies. 4.2 Intermedi
17、ate cleaning If sequential testing is required, the product standard shall specify any necessary cleaning method. When more than one fluid is to be applied to a test sample, the following should be considered: The need to assess the effect of individual fluids; The possibility of synergistic effects
18、 from applying successive fluids; prEN 3745-411:2017 (E) 4 If the order of exposure to fluids in service life is known, or if the exposure to fluids recognized as having synergistic effects is known and is possible in service life, then this order should be specified; Whether the test sample should
19、be cleaned between or after the test. NOTE Choice of cleaning fluid shall clearly not result in further contamination. Some of the specified fluids may be used as a cleaning fluid (e.g. aviation fuel, solvents, cleaning fluids) otherwise a fluid known to be used in normal cleaning procedures should
20、be used. 4.3 Final cleaning The product standard shall specify any necessary cleaning method prior to final examination. For each fluid to be tested, take a clean specimen at least 1 m in length from a finished cable. If necessary an initial cleaning may be performed according to EN 3909. 5 Preparat
