SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements for a butto
2、n-in insulating The liner is made of nylon fabric quilted liner for the extreme cold weather parka. to a polyester batting material. 1.2 Classification. Standaril patterns which provide 3/8 in
9、ch seam allowance for all seams except the facing seams which shall have 1/4 inch seam allowance, will be furnished by the Government. and are to be used only as a guide for cutting the contractors working patterns. The working patterns shall be identical to the standard patterns. The standard patte
10、rns shall not be altered in any way 3.5.1 List of pattern parts. The components of the liner shall be cut from materials as specified in accordance with the pattern parts indicated. All stitches, seams and stitching shall conform to FED-STD-751. as specifi

Broken stitches of the qu
17、ilting pattern may be repaired by stitching back of each end of break not less than 1 inch. * 3.6.1.1.1.2 Liner fabrication stitching. a. When thread breaks or bobbin run-outs occur during stitching, except pre- stitching, the stitching shall be repaired by restarting the stitching a minimum of 1/2
18、inch back of the end of the stitching. - 1/ b. Except for prestitching, thread breaks, or two or more consecutive skipped or run-off stitches noted during inspection of the item shall be repaired by overstitching. defective area, continue over the defective area, and continue a minimum of l/Z inch b
