14、ASME AG-1.This Standard provides a basis for the development of test programs, in-service test procedures,and corrective action requirements.In 1971, what is now the Committee on Nuclear Air and Gas Treatment was organized as ANSIN45.8 to develop standards for high-reliability, air-cleaning equipmen

15、t for nuclear facilities andcorresponding tests to confirm performance of the equipment. Two standards, N509 and N510,were published in 1975 and 1976, and updated in 2002 and 2007, respectively. In 1976, under theaccredited organization rules, the Committee was reorganized as the ASME Committee on N

16、uclearAir and Gas Treatment. The scope of responsibility was broadened to include the developmentof codes and standards for design, fabrication, inspection, and testing of air-cleaning and condi-tioning components and appurtenances, as well as air-cleaning components used in engineeringsafety system

17、s in nuclear facilities. The current assignment is to produce code documents andmaintain ASME N509 and N510, and develop and maintain ASME N511.Suggestions for improvement gained in the use of this Standard will be welcomed. 27、D TESTREQUIREMENTSAll inspections and tests shall be conducted in accor-dance with the requirements within this Standard andthe specific requirements of sections 6 and 8. Activitiesdiscussed in this Standard may involve the use of haz-ardous materials, operations, and equipment. This Stan-dard does

28、not purport to address all of the safetyrequirements associated with their use. The owners testprogram shall establish appropriate safety and healthpractices and determine the applicability of regulatoryrequirements.3.1 Test InstrumentsA calibration program shall be established in accor-dance with A

29、SME NQA-1 requirements. All permanentand temporary test instruments used in the conduct oftests required by this Standard shall be in calibration.Instrument accuracy shall meet or exceed the require-ments of Table 1.3.1.1 Range Requirements. The full-scale range ofinstruments shall be limited as nec

30、essary to ensure thatthe readings are within the accuracy requirements ofTable 1.3.1.2 Instrument Fluctuation. Symmetrical damp-ing devices or averaging techniques may be used toreduce random signal fluctuations. Hydraulic instru-ments may be damped by using gage snubbers or throt-tling valves in in

31、strument lines.3.1.3 Evaluation Following Test Instrument Loss,Damage, or Calibration Failure. When a test instrumentis lost, damaged, or otherwise fails to meet the require-ments of Table 1 during calibration, all test resultsobtained using the instrument shall be evaluated, datingback to the time

32、of the previous calibration. Vibration instru-ment accuracy shall be at least 10%. The minimumfrequency response range of the vibration-measuringinstrument shall be approximately one-th

36、ird of the mini-mum shaft speed. For rotating components, the maxi-mum frequency response range shall be at least twotimes the rotational shaft speed of the component beingmeasured. For reciprocating components, the maximumfrequency response range shall be at least two timesthe speed of the rotating

37、 element, times the number ofunique planes occupied by a piston throw.3.1.4.2 Challenge Aerosol-Measuring Instrument.The challenge aerosol-measuring instrument shall beverified to have a linear range of at least 105times theminimum detectable quantity of the instrument.3.1.4.3 Challenge Gas-Measurin

38、g Instrument. Thechallenge gas-measuring instrument shall be verified tobe capable of distinguishing challenge gas from back-ground and measuring challenge gas over a linear rangeof at least 105times the minimum detectable quantityof the instrument.3.2 Reference Values3.2.1 Establishment of Referenc

39、e Values. Referencevalues are determined during acceptance testing (ASMEAG-1, Article TA-4000), when the equipment or system3is proven to be operating within the acceptable limits ofthe design specification. Operating tests and inspectionsspecified in ASME AG-1, Article TA-4000 are performedunder co

40、nditions readily reproducible during subse-quent in-service tests to allow for direct comparison oftest results. All test results and associated analyses areincluded in the test procedure documentation.3.2.2 Reestablishment of Reference Values FollowingComponent Replacement, Repair, or Modification.

41、 Fol-lowing component replacement, repair, or modificationrequiring disassembly, an evaluation shall be conductedto determine the effect on current reference values.Whenever the evaluation indicates any of the referencevalues have been affected, new reference values shall beestablished in accordance

42、 with para. 3.2.1 or the previousreference values reverified. Evaluation of the new refer-ence values shall verify that the component conformsto the acceptance criteria prior to accepting it as fullyoperational. The evaluation to determine the effect onreference values shall be documented.3.3 Inspec

43、tion and Test RequirementsThe owners test program shall define system testboundaries and evaluate system performance withrespect to system functional requirements. Parametersthat need to be observed, calculated, and recorded inorder to meet the requirements of this Standard shallbe identified for each system.3.3.2 System Operating Conditions. Operating con

46、-ditions required for in-service testing shall be deter-mined for each system.3.3.3 Procedure Requirements. The owner shall beresponsible for the development and implementation ofwritten test procedures that meet the requirements ofthis Standard. Each equipment test section consists ofcommon (sectio

47、n 4) and in-service (section 5) testrequirements and acceptance criteria that apply to eachof the systems. The owner shall document whichrequirements are applicable (see Mandatory AppendicesI through IV for development guidance).3.3.4 In-Service Tests. In-service tests shall be con-ducted at interva

48、ls not to exceed those specified in sec-tion 5 or the owners test program, whichever is mostlimiting. In-service test intervals are maximum intervalsallowed by this Standard and should not be used asdefault intervals in the absence of system-specific evalu-ations. Specific system test intervals shou

49、ld be deter-mined on the basis of system design use. In-service testintervals are defined in Table 2.4 COMMON TESTSTests as specified in paras. 4.1 through 4.3 shall alsobe used in section 5 where applicable.4.1 Visual InspectionVisual inspections shall be conducted in accordancewith ASME AG-1, Article AA-5000 and the applicableportions of Mandatory Appendix I. The in-service visualinspections listed in section 5 shall verify that no unac-ceptable damage or degradation, which could impairfunction, has occurred to the equipment or system.4.2 Pressure B
