2、PE1.1 Scope. This specification covers eleven types of tapes andwebbings made from para-aramid, intermediate modulus yarn.1.2 Classification. REQUIRENTS3.1 First article. When specified the supplier shall furnish asample for the

8、 first article inspection and approval. (See 4.2and 6.2.)3.2 Material.3.2.1 Yam. The yarn used in the manufacture of all types ofwebbing shall be a para-aramid, intermediate modulus type (See 6.4.;3.2.1.1 Denier. The yarn used in manufacturing of the webbingshall be =nier specified in Table I.3.2.1.

9、2 Twist. The warp yarns shall be nominally 2 turns perinch. Plied yarns shall be made by twisting together the specifiednumber of ends of zero twist singles (as supplied by the producer).Filling yards shall have producers twist only, nominally zero.3,3 Physical Requirements. The constmctian and phys

10、ical require-ments of the finished webbing shall be as specified in Table I.3.4 Weave. The weave for each class of each type webbing shallbe as shown in Table I.3.5 Length and put-up. Unless othewise specified (see 6.2),webbing 9/16 inch or less in width shall be furnished on double headedspools or

11、tubes. Webbing 5/8 inch and wider shall be furnished inrolls. No roll shall contain a75 ore than 3 pieces, and no piece shallbe less than 20 yards in length.
