2、fense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers one type of leather waist belt. 1.2 Sizes, The belt shall be furnished in one of the following sizes as specified (see 6.2) : 24 26 28 30 32 34 36 38 40 42 44 46 48. 2. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials 3.1.1 Leather 3.1.1.

8、1 Outer sheI1. The leather for the outer shell (the top band, the tab, the keepers, and the loop) shall conform to type I, II, III, or IV; class 1 of KK-L-271 except for the thickness tolerance. The leather for the top band, the tab, and the keepers shall be 8/64 inch (plus 1/64 or minus 1/128 inch)

9、 thick. The leather for the loop shall be 4/64 inch (plus 1/64 or minus 1/128 inch) thick. The grain side of the leather shall be dyed black and smooth finished. The wax for the sewing thread shall he white or golden and shall be a permanently plasticized resin that, in the temperature range:of normal machine use, will thoroughly wax the thread. 3.1.4 The snap fastener6 for the keepers,shali conform to

14、 style 2A, finish dof MIL-F-10884 and shall consist of the following components: MS27981-2C (button), MS27981-3C (socket) , MS27981-4C (stud), and MS27981-6C (eyelet). 3.1,*C The sealer for finishing the edges of the father shall be a colorless aqueous solution. 15、sealer. 3.2 Design and construction. The design and the construction of the belt shall conform to Drawings 75176 through 75179. between the drawings and the text of this specification, the text of this specification shall apply. The belt shall be a waist-encirclinglined leather band with a leather tab, two keepers, and a loop. The

The buckle shall be a brass casting that conforms to No. 954 of QQ-C-390, shall be chromium plated to not less than 0.00002-inch thickness in accordance with class 1, type I of QQ-C-320,. and shall conform to Drawing 75179. 3.4 Overall length.

24、The belt shall conform to the overall length specified onDrawing 75178. Drawing 75178 shall be as specified in table I. Workmanship. The belt shall be constructed in a thoroughly workmanlike manner. 4 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 R

30、esponsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the perform

31、ance of the in- spection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requireme

Materials and components shall be inspected in accordance with

33、all the applicable provisions of the dociiments referenced herein. . 4.2.1.1 Certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance for the material identification of the sealer (see 3.1.5, and 6.2) shal1,be required. The Government shall reserve the right to check items to determine the validity of
