3、n ofthe thick poured gypsum concrete underlayments over woodstructural panel subfloors in commercial structures or overconcrete floors in commercial structures and the preparation ofthe thick poured gypsum concrete underlayment surface priorto the installation of resilient flooring in commercial bui
4、ldings.1.2 This practice covers the factors that are required to becontrolled while installing thick poured gypsum concreteunderlayment as a base for resilient flooring.1.3 This practice does not cover the structural adequacy ofthe wood structural panel subfloor or concrete subfloor. Thestructural i
5、ntegrity of assemblies is governed by local buildingcodes.1.4 This practice does not supersede in any manner the thickpoured gypsum concrete underlayment manufacturers, adhe-sive manufacturers or resilient flooring manufacturers writteninstructions. Consult the individual manufacturer for specificre
6、commendations.1.5 Thick poured gypsum concrete underlayments are notsuitable for use on concrete slabs on ground due to potentialmoisture problems arising from moisture intrusion, unless anadequate vapor retarder or vapor barrier is present directlybeneath the concrete subfloor.1.6 The values stated
7、 in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. Terminology3.1 DefinitionsDef
11、initions used in this practice shall be inaccordance with Terminology F141.3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.2.1 fully adhered flooring, nresilient flooring which hasadhesive under the entire product, bonding it to the underlay-ment surface. 12、nresilient flooring thatmay be loose laid, in which no adhesive is utilized, or partiallybonded to the surface of the underlayment, typically at seamsand the surrounding perimeter of the product. (13 mm) or a structurally sound wood subfloor at aminimum of34 in. (19 mm) which when dry form an
19、integralpart of the floor ceiling assembly for fire resistance and soundratings, satisfy building codes for thick poured gypsum con-crete underlayments, and provide a suitable floor surface forthe installation of resilient floor coverings.3.2.6 sound mat, na membrane installed between a struc-turall

Significance and Use4.1 This practice provides minimum recommendations forthe installation of thick poured gypsum concrete floor under-layments suitable to receive resilient fl
21、oor coverings. Thispractice establishes the proper preparation, installation andquality control for thick poured gypsum concrete floor under-layments.4.2 Actual requirements for thick poured gypsum concreteunderlayments are generally included as part of project plans orspecifications and may vary fr
22、om the recommendations setforth in this practice. Project plans or specifications, or both,shall supersede the recommendations set forth in this practice.5. Product Requirements5.1 For the purposes of this practice, thick poured gypsumconcrete underlayment shall be compounds consisting primar-ily of
23、 a mixture of gypsum cement, Portland cement and sand.5.2 When tested in accordance with Test Methods C472,thick poured gypsum concrete underlayment shall have aminimum compressive strength of 2000 psi (13.8 MPa) for useover wood subfloor and 3000 psi (20.7 MPa) for use overconcrete subfloors.5.3 Wh
24、en tested in accordance with Test Methods C472, thedensity shall be a minimum of 105 pcf (1680 kg/m3).6.
