I
13、t wassubsequently reorganized as an ASME Standards Committee, and its title was changed to HandTools and Accessories. In 1996, the Committees scope was expanded to include safety considera-tions.The purpose of B107.500 is to define essential performance and safety requirements for severaltypes of pl
14、iers, including long nose pliers, shears, electronic pliers, and wire cutters. It specifiestest methods to evaluate performance related to the defined requirements and safety and indicateslimitations of safe use.This Standard may also be used as a guide by state authorities or other regulatory bodie
15、s inthe formulation of laws or regulations. Theiractive efforts in the promotion of these standards is acknowledged and appreciated.The format of this Standard is in accordance with The ASME Codes however, they shouldnot contain proprietary names or information.Requests that are not in this format may be rewritten in t
