10、UL1 Scope1.1 These requirements apply to Circuit Interrupters with Fire Extinguishing Agent (CIFEA) intended to beinstalled on printed wiring boards or in freestanding end products. These devices are intended to actuateunder abnormal conditions of the controlled load, at a predetermined temperature
11、to release anextinguishing agent while interrupting the electrical circuit.Note A CIFEA does not replace the function of a fuse.1.2 This Outline supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of the Standard for Thermal-Links Requirements and Application Guide, UL 60691. Unless otherwise noted, a

Theserequirements are intended to be used in conjunction with the Safety Standard requirements of anend-product, to determine whether the device is acceptable for use in an end-use application.1.4 The requirements of this outline are limited to devices that, when actuated, expel fire extingui
15、shingagents that are non-conductive (Halocarbon clean agent) and will not adversely interfere with the safe useof the equipment under normal operating conditions.1.5 The outline is applicable to devices with a rated voltage not exceeding 600V.2 Reserved3 Terms and definitions3.1 Clause 3 of this sta

The agent is released at the rated functioning temperature.Note Electrically non-conducting, volatile, or gaseous fire extinguishant that does not leave a residueupon evaporation. The word “agent” as used in this document shall mean “clean agent” unless otherwiseindicated.3.1
23、03 BODY The part of the CIFEA which encloses the extinguishing agent and supports thecontacts.3.104 CONTACTS The external metallic parts of the CIFEA used to complete the circuit.3.105 AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE The temperature of the air surrounding the CIFEA.4 General RequirementsThis clause of the s
