In recognition of these differences, the sizes and tolerance ranges used were established in an effort to enable the use

6、of commercially available items, dimensionally interchangeable worldwide. 10、e applications to spread bearing load and to provide a uniform bearing surface. Hardened washers are intended for use in high strength joints to minimize embedding, to aid torquing, and to bridge large clearance holes and slots. 4.0 METRIC-INCH RELATED SIZES: During the inch to metric design transit

16、inc Trivalent (ZN6A) Phosphate Coated (PHC) Zinc Trivalent (ZN6A) 7.0 MISCELLANEOUS DIMENSIONS: For Hardened Washers, the inside and outside diameters will be concentric within a full indicator movement (FIM) equivalent to the tolerance permitted on the inside diameter. The tabulated inside dimensio

17、ns and tolerances apply only to the smallest hole size and not to the tapered breakout area. The tapered breakout area and permissible breakout tolerance will be as shown: All washers will be flat within a full indicator movement (FIM) of: 0.2 mm thru 25 mm OD 0.3 mm over 25 mm OD 8.0 MATERIAL: Carb

18、on Steel Washers (CST) (Type A) per MPAPS A-0, Part II, Code 0-100. Hardened Washers (Types B & C) - Steel (HTS) 1040 to 1065 per MPAPS A-0, Part I, quenched and tempered to RC 36 to 42. Stainless Steel, Type 304 (SST304) (Type B) per MPAPS A-37. 9.0 FINISHES: Washers will be furnished in accordance

19、 with the Navistar Engineering Material Specification and class listed below: Plain (PLN) - Free from dirt and rust and coated with a light oil film. Zinc Trivalent (ZN6A) MPAPS G-20, Class 6A. Phosphate Coated (PHC) MPAPS G-1, Class B2. The determinant of plating thickness will be the thickness of

20、plating on the flat surface of the washer approximately midway between the inside and outside diameters. 10.0 RESTRICTED CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES: Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the MPAPS B-50 specification. 1
