ACCESS DIGITAL SECTION FOR B-ISDN Summary The purpose of this Recommendation is to define the characteristics of a B-ISDN access digital section for the B-
8、ISDN customer access between the broadband user-network interface (at the TB reference point) and the first ATM equipment on the network side of the B-NT1 (at V, reference i I point). Source ITU-T Recommendation G.966 was prepared by ITU-T Study Group 13 (1997-2000) and was approved under the WTSC R

The ITU Telecommunicatio
10、n Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conf
11、erence (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some a
12、reas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation the term recognized operating agency (ROA) includes any individual, company, corporation or governmental organization that oper
13、ates a public correspondence service. The terms Administration, ROA and public correspondence are defined in the Constitution of the ITU (Geneva, 1992). INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS The ITU draws attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recommendation may involve the
14、use of a claimed Intellectual Property Right. The ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU members or others outside of the Recommendation development process. As of the date of approval of this Recommen
15、dation, the ITU had not received notice of intellectual property, protected by patents, which may be required to implement this Recommendation. However, implementors are cautioned that this may not represent the latest information and are therefore strongly urged to consult the TSB patent database.

ACCESS DIGITAL SECTION FOR B-ISDN (Geneva, 1999) 1 Scope This Recommendation defines the characteristics of the B-ISDN access digital section for the B-ISDN customer access between the B-ISDN user-ne
22、twork interface (at the TB reference point, defined in Recommendation 1.413 9) and the first ATM equipment on the network side of the B-NT1 (at V, reference point). Both homogeneous and non-homogeneous access digital sections are possible, depending on the functionality required. This Recommendation
23、 applies to the non-homogeneous B-ISDN access digitai section where the bit rate used for the UNI is different from the bit rate of other parts of the section. In this case, transmission path termination and TC sublayer functions are provided by the access digital section. In the case of a homogeneo
24、us B-ISDN access digital section, where the bit rates are the same for the UNI and the other parts of the section, transmission path termination and TC sublayer functions are not required.
