5、.4.2.1 When packages containing dangerous goods are packed onto or into any cargo transport unit, such as freight container, flat, trailer or other vehicle intended for transport by sea, those responsible for the packing of the unit should provide a “Co n t a i ne r/ve h i c I e pack in g ce rt i f

If the consignments include

7、goods of class 1, other than division 1.4, the cargo transport unit is structurally serviceable in conformity with 7.4.6. Goods which should be segregated have not been packed together onto or in the cargo transport unit (unless approved by the competent authority concerned in accordance with 7.2.2.

If these functions are incorporated into a single document, such as a dangerous goods declaration, a shipping note, etc., the inclusion of a signed declaration phrase such as “It is declared that the packing of the goods into the unit has been carried out in accordance

13、with the provisions of 5.4.2.1” will suffice. The person signing this declaration should be identified on the document. 14、ose responsible for the packing of the dangerous goods into a freight container should provide a “Container packing certificate” certifying that this has been properly carried out and embodying the following provisions. - - The freight container was clean, dry and apparently fit to receive goods. 15、 the consignments include goods of class 1, other than division 1.4, the freight container is structurally serviceable in conformity with section 12 of the introduction to class 1 of the IMDG Code. 44、. Handling The supplier shall provide methods of handling that prevent damage or deterioration. Appropriate methods for authorising receipt and the despat

45、ch to and from such areas shall be stipulated. In order to detect deterioration, the condition of product in stock shall be assessed at appropriate intervals. Packaging The supplier shall control packing, preservation and marking processes (including materials used) to the extent necessary to ensure

46、 conformance to specified requirements and shall identify, preserve and segregate all product from the time of receipt until the suppliers responsibility ceases. Delivery The supplier shall arrange for the protection of the quality of product after final inspection and test. Where contractually spec

47、ified, this protection shall be extended to include delivery to destination. 18 Chapter 3: Forces acting on the cargo during transport Road During road transport forces occur in the direction of travel due to heavy breaking, transverse to the direction of travel due to the centrifugal force when dri

48、ving in round sharp bends and backward due to forward accelerations and immediately after heavy breaking. Rail , . .Y Forces on cargo transported by rail caused by alterations of speed, show a similar pattern as to when transported by road. However, forces caused by shunting of railwagons can be ver
