They are important to the manufacturer in pro

19、cess control and to the filler for incoming goods inspection and ultimately clinch setting and control. Cups in tinplate, blackplate, stainless steel, aluminium and aluminium alloys are permitted by this standard but it is emphasized that the dimensions are independent of the material. To ensure sat

20、isfactory filling in production, dimples are no longer considered essential but may still be used. Their presence may cause damage of the 25,4 mm aperture and their presence on lacquered cups can give rise to coating defects at the dimple feature. Thus, in the interest of simplicity and reduction of

21、 difficulties, dimples are excluded from this standard. 3EN 14848:2005 (E) 1 Scope This European Standard specifies the critical dimensions of valve cups suitable for clinching into 25,4 mm aperture metal aerosol containers. This standard is intended to be used with the metal aerosol containers spec
