This Commercial Item Description covers disposable liquid absorbent pouches. Shall be throw-away (disposable) absorb

2、ent pouches, suitable for containing aqueous solution spillages within an inserted package (e.g. bag or container). Shall be supplied in the following milliliter (ml) absorbent capacity and pouch sizes: A 200 ml liquid absorbent capacity in an overall dimensioned 3 X 4 inch pouch. A 400 ml liquid ab

3、sorbent capacity in an overall O dimensioned 5 X 5 inch pouch. Shall be suitable for absorbing spillages of urine, blood, and biohazardous fluids, Shall be suitable to contain cross contaminat.ion and package leakage. Shall include absorbent material consisting of superabsorbent polymers that are ca

4、pable of rapidly absorbing an aqueous solution spillage and containing the absorbed spillage within a pouch. The absorbent polymers in each pouch shall be capable of rapidly absorbing liquid and containing it within the pouch in a capacity of up to at least 500 times their dry state volume. Shall ha

5、ve the absorbent polymer material included in each pouch. The pouch shall be a throw-away (disposable), heat-sealed, flow-through tissue pouch. The absorbent polymer material shall expand upon contact with an aqueous solution spillage penetrating the tissue pouch. The absorption shall contain the sp

11、or a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which srich records relate. - In2pectio1-1. - Inspection. ar: used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual er auditory investigation without the use of spacial laboratorv appliances or procedures) and testing (determination

Inspections and testing shall be conducted on the liquid absorbent pouch in accoi-dance with commercial practice. Sampling for inspection and testing shall he in accordance with commercial practice. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inchpound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of

17、e contract. -_- Federal Food,-gyg-and Cgsmetiu-Act, If the product covered by this document has been determined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be under its jurisdiction, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/cuppliers, with the requ

18、irements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, and regulations promulgated thereunder. In addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of all other applicable Federal, State, and local statut

19、es, ordinances and regulations. _-_ Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered material in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 23.4 to the maximum extent practical. Preseration,-EacSagg-Si-in- Unless otherwise specified, preservation, packaging, and

20、 packin shall be to a degree of protection to preclude damage to containers and/or contents thereof under normal shipping conditions, handling, etc., involving shipment from the supp.ly source to the receiving activity, plus reshipment from receiving activity, and shall conform to applicable carrier

21、s rules and regulations. Intermediate and exterior package quantities and labeling and marking shall be as specified in the contract and/or order.
