This Commercial Item Description covers a

2、nonwoven fabric, disposable bedsheet. Salient characteristics: The bedsheet shall be a nonwoven fabric, disposable sheet, rectangular in appearance with all edges straight and even. The sheet shall be furnished in the following sizes and colors: Size 1 - 96 inches long by 60 inches wide, white Size

3、2 - 72 inches long by 40 inches wide, aqua or blue Size 3 - 84 inches long by 40 inches wide, aqua or blue Tolerances on the above bedsheet dimensions shall be plus or minus 4 inches. The nonwoven fabric shall be fabricated from any of the following compositions at the manufacturers option. The fini

4、shed nonwoven fabric shall be soft, have good draping and hand (feel). The finished nonwoven fabric shall not have an objectionable odor and shall be non-irritating and non-toxic. a. The nonwoven fabric shall consist of 60 plus or minus 5 percent bleached chemical pulp tissue, 15 plus or minus 5 per

5、cent viscose rayon fibers (2 inch average staple length) and 25 plus or minus 5 percent plastisol bonding and fire retardant agents. The fabric shall be constructed by laminating two layers of tissue having sandwiched between them two layers of oriented rayon fibers. One layer of the rayon fiber sha

The nonwoven fabric shall consist of 40 plus or

7、 minus 5 percent viscose rayon fibers and 60 plus or niinus 5 percent bleached chemical pulp tissue bonded with a resin adhesive and fire retardant agents. The fabric shall be made from a carded web or randomized web structure. c. The nonwoven fabric shall consist of 45 plus or niinus 5 percent blea

8、ched chemical pulp tissue, 20 plus or minus 5 percent synthetic fibers, 35 plus or niinus 5 percent polymeric bonding and fire retardant agents. The fabric shall be constructed by laminating two layers of nonwoven tissue having sandwiched between them one layer of random or oriented continuous synth

9、etic filament fibers. d. The nonwoven fabric shall consist of 100, plus O, minus 5 percent viscose rayon fibers bonded with a resin adhesive and fire retardant agents. The fabric shall be an all-textile product made from a carded web or randomized web structure. e. The nonwoven fabric shall consist

10、of 87 plus or minus 5 percent chemical pulp tissue, 1-1/2 plus or minus 1/2 percent oriented continuous synthetic yarns in a nonwoven scrim and 11-1/2 plus or minus 5 percent bonding and fire retardant agents. The fabric shall be constructed by laminating one or two layers of tissue on each side of

11、the scrim reinforcing network. f. The nonwoven material shall consist of 60 plus or minus 5 percent bleached chemical pulp tissue, 15 plus or minus 5 percent rayon and polyester fiber blend (2 inch average staple length), and 25 plus or minus 5 percent plastisol bonding and fire retardant agents. Th

12、e material shall be constructed by laminating two layers of tissue having sandwiched between them one layer of random or oriented fibers. One layer of the fibers shall be placed in the cross direction. g. The nonwoven material shall consist of 60 plus or minus 5 percent bleached chemical pulp tissue

13、, 15 plus or minus 5 percent synthetic fibers (2 inch average staple length), and 25 plus or minus 5 percent plastisol bonding and fire retardant agents. The material shall be constructed by one layer or by laminating two layers of nonwoven tissue having sandwiched between them two layers of oriente

The fabric shall be nonwoven (saturation bonded

15、 wet laid) manufactured from cellulosic or synthetic fiber or a combination of both. The nonwoven fabric shall be resin saturated. i. The nonwoven material shall be spunbonded polypropylene. The nonwoven fabric shall have the following properties: Weight (minimum) - 39.3 grams per square meter or 1.

16、15 ounces per square yard. Tensile strenqth. Machine direction - 3.5 pounds per inch minimum Cross direction - 1.0 pounds per inch minimum Flame resistance - 8 seconds minimum Color fastness to: Water - Good Crocking Wet and Dry - Not lower than Munsel Value 8.0 Each bedsheet shall be clean, free fr

The certificate shall include the name of the contractor, the contract number, the name of the manufacturer or supplier, the NSN, the item identification, the name of the component/material, the lot

Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Governments request, at any time, or from time to time, d

27、uring the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection. Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or proc

28、edures) and testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. Samplinq for examination. 33、s with those manufactured using inch-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerances specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard 376, and all other requirements of this document are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dim

34、ensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this

35、description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. Con
