3、uments) . 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials. Except as specified herein, materials shall conform to the ap- plicable portions of the specifications, standards, and drawing (with bill of material) listed in section 2, and shall be capable of meeting the requirements shown therein. In addition, the metals

4、 shall conform to the chemical requirements of their applicable specifications when tested as specified in 4.4.1. When materials to be used are not specifically designated; those used shall be of the highest commercial quality, and suitable for the purpose intended. 3.1.1 Panels, The top pane, seat

5、covers, and seat seal covers shall be plastic- faced plywood, conformin to type I or type II of Specification MIL-P-8296. The plywood shall be 3-p1y, 3 P 8 inch thick. Front, back, and side panels shall conform to Commercial Standard CS45 and Specification NN-P-530 for Douglas ffr, exterior type, gr

6、ade AC, 3-ply, 3/8 inch thick. ash, oak, or maple conforming to Specification IMhi-L-736. Wood shall be free of checks, decay, wormholes, knots, etc., or other defects. The moisture cordent shall be 12 to 16 percent when tested as specified in 4.4.1. 3.1.2 Stiffeners. Stiffeners for the top panel sh

7、all be constructed of kiln-dried 3.1.3 Base plates. Base plates shall be fabricated from aluminum 5052-H34 conforming to Specification QQ-A-318. 3.1 4 Base plate hinges, Base plate hinges shall be made of AIS1 1010 or 1020 carbon steel. 3.1.5 Seat hinges and upright hinge. Seat hinges and upright hi

8、nge shall be made of aluminum 5052-H34 conforming to Speeifieation QQ-A-318. 3.1.6 Rivets and washers. AI1 aluminum rivets shall be 2117-T4, andized, as specified on drawing. Washers shall be made of flat aluminum, 2024-T3, conforming to Specification QQ-A-362, i 3 Licensed by Information Handling S

9、ervices. 3.1.7 Spring hinges, Spring hinges shall be steel, nickel- or brass-plated, H. II, Silverman PPP-B-621, table I; PPP-B-636, type I, class 1; or MIL-C-11456. The unit shall be adequately secured within the exterior container by means of bolts, wood braces, blocks, or other suitable devices,

10、to insure against shifting and break- age or marring of surfaces. 6,2,3 Level C. The subject commodity shall be packed in substantial com- mercial containers of the type, size, and kind commonly used for the purpose, so constructed as to insure acceptance and safe delivery by common or other carrier

11、s, at the lowest rate, to point of delivery called for in the contract or purchase order. 5.3 Marking, Exterior container shall be marked in accordance with Standard ML-STB-129, except as follows: The letter ?ILt1 shall precede the Federal stock number, One space shall be allowed between the letter

12、llL1l and the first digit of the stock number. The terms llStock number“ or riFSN1l shall not be indicated. Service color and service symbol markings are required only on direct shipments from the contractors plant to overseas activities. 6, NOTES 6.1 Ordering data. Procurement documents should spec

Carload minimum weight 24,000 pounds subject to Rule 3

15、4 of the Uniform Truckload minimum weight 24,000 pounds per National Motor Freight Classification.
