3、EE POLE The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers the general requirements for one, two, and three pole, 100 ampere, 600 V AC, type H fuseholder blocks. Fuseholders

4、covered by this CID are intended for commercial/industrial applications. 2. CLASSIFICATION/PART OR IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN). This CID uses a classification system which is included in the PIN as shown in the following example (see 7.1). AA55429 - 001 CID number Dash number (see table I) 3. SALIEN

5、T CHARACTERISTICS. 3.1 Interface and physical dimensions. Fuseholders supplied to this CID shall be as specified herein and shall meet the requirements of UL 4248-1 and UL 4248-6 for class H fuseholders (see figure 1). 3.2. Ampere rating. The ampere rating shall be 100 amperes maximum. 3.3 Voltage r

6、ating. The voltage rating shall be 600 V ac maximum. 3.4 Interrupting rating. This class H fuseholder shall be used with class H fuses that have an interrupting rating of 10,000 amperes maximum. 3.5 Wire termination. Wire termination shall be specified on figure 2 and as follows: a. Screw connector

7、for use with spade tugs or ring terminals. b. Screw with pressure plate connector for use with solid or standard wire without terminal (recommended where vibration will be a factor). c. 12、cing springs. 3.6 Wire size. The maximum wire size shall be #1/0 CU-AL for screw connectors and screw with pressure plate connectors and #6/0 CU-AL for box lug connectors. 3.7 Reinforcing spring. Reinforcing springs are used for reinforcement of the fuse clip. Spring reinforced fuse clips are recomm

13、ended if frequent fuse replacement is expected. 3.8 Fuse accomodation. This fuseholder accepts class H fuses with dimensions of 7.875 inches, (200.02 mm) a blade thickness of .125 inch (3.17 mm), and a blade width of .750 inch (19.05 mm). 3.9 Marking. Fuseholders supplied to this CID shall be marked

14、 with the manufacturers (MFRs) standard commercial PIN and the UL listing mark. (NOTE: The part number marked on the unit pack shall be the CID PIN.) 3.10 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the

15、maximum extent possible provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.11 Workmanship. Fuseholders shall be processed in such a manner as to be uniform in quality and shall be free from other defect

16、s that will affect life, serviceability, or appearance. 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product

17、conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require pr

18、oof of such conformance. 5.2 Market acceptance. The following market acceptance criteria are necessary to document the quality of the product to be provided under this CID: a. The company producing the item must have been producing a product meeting the requirements of this CID for at least 2 years.

19、 b. The company producing the item must have sold 1,000 units meeting this CID in the commercial marketplace over the past 2 years. 6. PACKAGING. See section 2 for PIN format example. 7.2 Environmentally preferable materials. Environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent

21、possible to meet the requirements of this specification. As of the dating of this document, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencey (EPA) is focusing efforts on reducing 31 priority chemicals. The list of chemicals and additional information is available on their website http:/www.epa.gov/wastes/h

22、azard/wastemin/priority.htm. Included in the EPA list of 31 priority chemicals are cadmium, lead, and mercury. Use of these materials should be minimized or eliminated unless needed to meet the requirements specified herein (see section 3). 7.3 Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code. For order
