2、BILE The General Services Administration has authorized the u8e of this comercial item description. Abstract. This commercial item description delineates a mobile sent;ry building used as a sentry shelter and as a portable re- viewing 8tand. Salient Characterl8tics. Sentry building shall be a traile

3、r mounted unit, constructed to conform to Department of Transportation (DOT) Fedenal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation= and Vehicle Safety Standards. Building shall be constructed to have a 6.0 Ft. minimum external width, 5.0 Ft. minimurn external length, and a 6.5 Ft. minimum internal height. Buildin

4、g to include an external platform, 6.0 Ft. nominal width by 3.0 Ft. nominal length. Building and plat- form shall be mounted on a welded steel frame, 8.0 Ft. minimum external width by 8.0 Ft. minimum external length. Frame shall be equipped with a single axle, pneumatic tires, 2 inch ball hitch with

5、 safety chain=, 4 corner Jacks for leveling, swing down step, hand rails, and running lights. Building shall be of metal construction with all interior sur- face8 to be insulated to a minimum rating of R11 and canopy to extend no less than 3 inches beyond walls. Entrance shall be a fully weather str

6、ipped door with a 18 by 16 inch minimum glass window in the door. All windows shall be clear tempered safety glass 118 inch minimum thickness. Window6 shall be installed in 3 or 4 wall8 with a minimum of 4,863 square inches of window area. Windows on opposing sides shall be sliding type equipped wit

8、he National Electric Code and contain a 100 AMP 12 circuit breaker box, duplex outlet and fluorescent light fixture. Heating and cooling shall be provided by a llOV/12OV, 5,000 BTU minimum heater and a llOV/lSOV, 6,000 BTU minimum cooler. Heater/Cooler combination unit is acceptable. Interior shall

9、also include a counter with storage drawer. Counter to run the length of an interior wall and encompass a 15 inch minimum storage drawer. Unit color shall be Air Force Lusterless Blue, in accordance with FED-STD-595, Table VII, Color Number 35045. Workmanship. The mobile sentry building shall be cle

10、an and free from faulty construction or any defects which affect the appear- ance, serviceability, and durability. Warranty. . Standard manufacturers building warranty shall be provided. Certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain sub- stantiating evidence that the product offered meets

11、 the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description and that the product conform8 to the producer8 own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practicee. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter a8 m

12、ay be othepwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. Metric Products. Produotg manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered.on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch pound units, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion table8 contained in the

13、latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this Commercial Item Description are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to

14、determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable, so long a8 the requir

15、ements of this description are met. The offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for com- pliance by their subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act; and all other applicable Federal, State, and local statutes, ordinances, and regulations. 2
