This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to m

7、achines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of that Directive. The European Standards referred to in this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN I

36、1:2007+A2:2012 (E) 5 Introduction This document has been prepared to be a harmonised standard to provide one means of conforming to the essential safety requirements of the Machinery Directive, and associated EFTA regulations. This document is a type “C” standard as stated in #EN ISO 12100:2010$. Th

37、e machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take prec

38、edence over the provisions of other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. The requirements of this document are directed to manufacturers and their authorised representatives of surface planing and thicknessing machines. They a

39、re also useful for designers and importers. This document also includes provision and examples of information to be provided by the manufacturer to the user. Common requirements for tooling are given in #EN 847-1:2005+A1:2007$. DIN EN 861:2012-09 EN 861:2007+A2:2012 (E) 6 1 Scope This document !spec

40、ifies all significant“ hazards, hazardous situation and events as listed in Clause 4 relevant to stationary and displaceable surface planing and thicknessing machines with an integrated feed in thicknessing mode, (with or without demountable power feed unit in planning mode) and with manual loading

41、and unloading of the work-piece, hereinafter referred to as “machines“. The cutterblock is fixed in position and for thicknessing an integrated feed is provided. The machines are designed to cut solid wood, chipboard, fibreboard and plywood when they are used as intended and under the conditions for

42、eseen by the manufacturer #including reasonably foreseeable misuse$. #Machines which are designed to work wood based materials may also be used for thicknessing hardened plastic materials with similar physical characteristics as wood.$ This document does not deal with any hazards which result from t

43、he attachment of an optional mortising unit. These hazards are covered by #EN 940:2009+A1:2012$. This document does not apply to: a) machines set up on a bench or a table similar to a bench, which are intended to carry out work in a stationary position, capable of being lifted by one person by hand;
