28、ational keyboard layout (the primary keyboard layoup) providing access to characters most commonly used in Canada (group I chamctes) and a secondary keyboard layout which, when combined with the group 7 characters, supports the Latin alphabet No. 1 Graphic Set as defined in CSA Standard CANCSA-2243.

29、4 and IS0 Standard 8859-1 (group 2a characters) or the Latin alphabet as defined in IS0 Standard 6937 (group 2 (b) technological or operational aspects of any particular implementation; (c) fonts; (d) placement of representation of a graphic symbol on any given keytop or keyface; Januruy 7992 7 (e)

Definitions 2.1 The following definitions apply in this Standard: Group - a logical state of a keyboard providing

31、 access to a collection of characters. A group usually contains a set of characters whEh logically belong together and which may be arranged on several shift levels within that group. Group f characters - a set of 127 graphic characters commonly used in Canada (see Table 1). Gmup 2a characters - a s

32、et of 64 graphic characters (see Table 2) which when combined with group I characters provide access to the Latin alphabet No. 1 Graphic Set defined in CAN/CSA-Z243.4. Group 2b characters - a set of 143 graphic characters (see Table 3) which when combined with gmup 7 characters and group 2a characte

33、rs provide access to the Latin alphabet defined in IS0 Standard 6937. Group shift - a function which, if activated, shall change the keyboard state to produce characters from a different g roup. Level - one of several states (normally 2 or 3) governing which graphic character is produced when a grap

34、hic key is actuated. In certain cases the level may also affect function keys. Level I characters - those graphic characters of a group which can be generated from the keyboard when level 1 is in effect (eg, small letters). Level 2 characters - those graphic characters of a group which can be genera

35、ted from the keyboard when level 2 is in effect (eg, capital letters). Level 3 characters - those graphic characters of a group which can be generated from the keyboard when level 3 is in effect. Primary keyboard layout - the allocation of the graphic charaders of the group 7 characters to the set o

36、f 3 levels as shown in Figure 3. Secondary keyboard layout - the allocation of the graphic characters of the group 2 chamcters as shown in Fgures 4 and 5. Figure 4 shows the atlocation of the group 2a characters. Figure 5 shows the allocation of gmup 2a and26 characters. These layouts conform to IS0

44、IS). 1992 9 4. Conformance 4.1 General This Standard specifies three conformance levels in order to allow for more precise statements in claiming confomnce. Conformance Level A is the minimum conformance level. 4.2 Conformance Level A The keyboard meets Conformance Level A when it supports the group

45、 7 characters (Table 1) and the placement of the charaders as indicated in Fgure 3 and Table 4. Implementation shall be in a single group known as group 1. 4.3 Conformance Level B The keyboard meets Conformance Level B when it conforms to Level A and also supports the group 2a characten as defined i

46、n Table 2 and the placement of ?he characlers as indicated in figures 3 and 4 and Tables 4 and 5. Implementation shall be in two groups known as group 7 plus gmup 2a. 4.4 Conformance Level C The keyboard meets Conformance level C when it conforms to Level A and Level B and also supports the group 26

47、 characters as defined in Table 5 and the placement of the characters as indicated in Fgures 3 and 5 and Tables 4 and 5. Implementation shall be in two groups known as group 7 plus group 2d2h 45 Default Conformance Level Any statement of conformance to this Standard without specifying a conformance

48、level shall be interpreted as Conformance Level A. 5. General and Physical Requirements 5.1 Primary Keyboard layout (see Fgure 3) The primw keyboard layout consists of three levels. Fgure 3 shows, for each level of each key, the positions of the characters required to enter the group 1 characters. I
