The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical

17、 committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with

18、 the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft Intern

21、any new terms have been defined in this new series of standards since ISO 4046:1978 was published. However, the ISO 4046 series is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all terms related to paper, board and pulps. It includes definitions of relevant terms which can be found in ISO standards pre

22、pared by ISO Technical Committee 6, as well as other definitions which, in the opinion of Working Group 6, needed to be standardized.
